Introducing myself:
I am Alison Shearing
( nee Henderson), an independent Orthotist, with over 25 years
experience in the industry.
Due to personal circumstances, in 2005 I decided to change my work /
life balance and work independently.
In my time in the Industry I have acted as an in-house locum and I am fully
aware of the flexibility and tact required in this position.
I am HPC registered, and a member of BAPO.I am
based in South Cambridgeshire with good transport links to East Anglia,
London & The Midlands. |

I have over the
years covered a full range of Orthotic specialities:
Orthopaedic, Paediatric, Neurological Rehabilitation, Surgical, Diabetic, Rheumatoid, My special
interests are in Diabetic and Rheumatoid footwear, as well as patients with
learning difficulties ( adult and children).
I have lived in Cambridgeshire for the last 20 years, and have found that this area gives good access to the
rest of the country.
